The Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association is a membership-based organisation, celebrating 158 years in 2020.

The Association’s mission is to further the progress of agriculture in Canterbury. This is achieved via:

• Supporting the Show – Where the history of Canterbury agriculture and the future of New Zealand agriculture is highlighted.
• Competitions and Events – Throughout the year we run agricultural competitions and events help to maintain an active community.
• The Future of Agriculture – Supporting young people from schools and local communities to be involved in agriculture.

The Show is the largest A&P Show in New Zealand and runs for three days in November. In 2018, the Show was rebrand as the New Zealand Agricultural Show, a title worthy of cementing the Show’s future and potential for growth.
