With 50 pregnant ewes ready to give birth over the three days of the Show, Showgoers are in for a special treat as they witness these tiny baby lambs taking their first steps – a hit with young and old alike. With a farmer and vet on site, the new mums are well looked after, and moved shortly after birthing to a resting paddock away from the public eye.

The New Zealand Agricultural Show is run by the Canterbury A&P Association.
The Canterbury A&P Association is a membership based organisation, which celebrated 150 years in 2012. The Association's mission is to further the progress of agriculture in Canterbury and New Zealand, through the annual New Zealand Agricultural Show.
